1. Overview
1.1 By purchasing a ticket to a Citadellé event, you agree to be bound by these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations. Citadellé is owned and provided by G and G Events and Functions (Pty) Ltd.
1.2 Any references to “we”, “our”, or “Citadellé” are references to G and G Events and Functions (Pty) Ltd.
2. Age Restriction
2.1 Citadellé events are strictly for persons over the age of 18. Due to liquor licence rules and regulations, no person under the age of 18 will be allowed entry under any circumstances.
2.2 If you purchase a ticket using false identification or identification that does not belong to you, your ticket will be revoked and you risk forfeiting any refund.
2.3 Having a ticket does not guarantee entrance into any Citadellé venue. Valid identification will be requested at all entry points. Acceptable forms of identification are outlined in our FAQs. Failure to provide valid identification will result in denied access without refund.
3. Tickets
3.1 You are solely responsible for keeping your ticket secure at all times. You must immediately notify us if your ticket is lost, stolen, damaged, or used by an unauthorised person.
3.2 All registered, valid, and activated tickets must be scanned upon entry to any Citadellé venue.
3.3 Citadellé and/or official ticket sellers reserve the right to verify your identity upon entry. Only original South African ID books/cards, driver’s licences, or valid passports (with photo) will be accepted. Certified copies will not be accepted unless by prior arrangement.
3.4 If your ticket is lost or stolen, you will not be entitled to a refund.
3.5 All tickets must be validated/registered and collected at the designated ticket office at the event.
3.6 Tickets to Citadellé may only be purchased through the following authorised channels:
3.6.1 citadelle.howler.co.za
3.6.2 The official Citadellé app (if applicable)
3.6.3 An official Citadellé Ambassador link
3.7 Tickets obtained through any other means, including third-party websites or unauthorised sellers, will not be valid for entry.
3.8 Tickets may only be exchanged or resold via our official ticketing provider, Howler.
3.9 A refund may be requested only if the ticket has not been delivered or collected. Any refund will incur a cancellation fee as outlined below:
• More than 30 days prior to the event: 25% Refund Fee
• Between 7–30 days prior to the event: 50% Refund Fee
• Less than 7 days prior to the event: 75% Refund Fee
3.10 In cases of serious unforeseen circumstances that prevent attendance, refunds may be considered at the organiser’s discretion.
4. Admission and Behaviour
4.1 To enter any Citadellé venue, your ticket must be validated upon arrival. You will be searched by security personnel before admission.
4.2 Inspections at entry gates will comply with the Safety at Sports and Recreational Events Act No. 2 of 2010.
4.3 Security personnel may conduct pat-downs or searches of clothing and luggage. Any banned items found will be confiscated, and admission may be refused.
4.4 Security personnel have full authority to enforce venue rules. Their decisions are final.
4.5 The following conduct is prohibited within Citadellé venues:
4.5.1 Entering zones not permitted by your ticket (VIP, backstage, etc.)
4.5.2 Climbing on structures, fences, or equipment
4.5.3 Blocking entrances or emergency exits
4.5.4 Wearing disguises to conceal identity
4.5.5 Selling food, drinks, or merchandise without permission
4.5.6 Throwing or shooting objects
4.5.7 Smoking in non-smoking areas
4.5.8 Public urination or defecation
4.5.9 Wearing full facial coverings (unless required by regulation)
4.5.10 Parking without an official parking permit
4.5.11 Damaging or removing decorations or structures
4.5.12 Making fires
4.5.13 Crowd surfing
4.5.14 Showing nudity or indecent exposure
4.6 Citadellé reserves the right to deny entry or remove any person not adhering to these standards, including those not meeting the event’s style or conduct expectations.
4.7 The wearing or display of political, discriminatory, or hate-related symbols or messages is strictly prohibited.
5. Permitted and Prohibited Items
5.1 Permitted Items
• Guide dogs (for visually impaired guests)
• Disposable or compact photo cameras
• Telescopic umbrellas without pins (no parasols)
• Sunscreen, cosmetics, and deodorant up to 100ml
• Refreshers/vaporisers, small backpacks, and handbags
• Selfie-sticks up to 1 metre in length
5.2 Prohibited Items
• Firearms, ammunition, knives, or weapons of any kind
• Explosives, fireworks, or flares
• Tear gas, pepper spray, or similar substances
• Illegal narcotics or unprescribed substances
• Animals (except guide dogs)
• Own food or drinks
• Glass, metal, or large plastic containers
• Offensive flags, banners, or signage
• Lasers or strobe lights
• Hazardous chemicals or flammable materials
• Walking sticks (except with a valid medical note)
• Any object deemed by security to pose a risk to others
6. Zero Tolerance Policy
6.1 Citadellé and its venue partners enforce a zero-tolerance policy on drugs and illegal substances.
6.2 Possession, use, or dealing of any illegal drugs is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate removal and referral to the South African Police Service.
6.3 Admission may be refused or revoked (without refund) if you:
6.3.1 Are under the influence of alcohol or narcotics
6.3.2 Are in possession of banned or illegal substances
6.3.3 Have previously been refused entry to other events
6.3.4 Display violent, disruptive, or unsafe behaviour
6.3.5 Possess prohibited items
6.3.6 Refuse to be searched by security
6.3.7 Fail to comply with these Terms and Conditions
6.4 Failure to comply may result in denied entry or expulsion without refund. Individuals removed from the event must vacate the premises immediately.
G and G Events and Functions (Pty) Ltd reserves the right to amend or update these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.
